Product Description
From Villa Sparina, the acclaimed Monferrato estate best known for its benchmark Gavi, comes a Barbera that shows exactly why this grape is Piedmont’s everyday hero. Made from 100% Barbera, it leads with juicy raspberry, blackberry and dark cherry, layered with ripe plum and a savoury hint of licorice and leather.
Medium-bodied and supremely easy to drink, it carries the bright, mouth-watering acidity Barbera is loved for, with fine, supple tannins that keep every sip smooth. At around 14% ABV it has the depth for a proper sit-down dinner yet stays fresh enough to open on a Tuesday night.
This is a wine built for food. Pour it alongside pasta in a rich meat ragù, grilled sausages and steak, wood-fired pizza or a board of aged Italian cheeses. Serve it lightly cool, around 16–18°C, to let the dark fruit really sing.
