Product Description
Urban Riesling is Nik Weis’s non-estate Mosel bottling, made to retain an individual regional character. Its vines grow on highly decomposed blue slate, which the producer links to minerality and a somewhat salty finish. Warm days and cold nights help the grapes keep their elegant, fruity acidity and develop a wide range of flavors.
The wine has a complex smoky and floral nose, brilliant fruit and a juicy, elegant mouthfeel. Lively acidity is part of its traditional Mosel Riesling profile. Vinification is deliberately minimal, with the aim of keeping the wine as authentic as possible. Enjoy it by itself or with light or spicy dishes.
