Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs is Champagne in its purest, most elegant form. “Blanc de blancs” means it’s made entirely from white grapes — here 100% Chardonnay, with no Pinot Noir or Meunier in the blend. That single-grape focus is no marketing afterthought for this Épernay house, which bottled some of the very first 100% Chardonnay Champagnes back in the 1920s, long before the style even had a name.

Chardonnay is also the source of Perrier-Jouët’s signature: a famously floral, finely spun style the cellar master likens to flower petals — soft, silky, delicate. Expect a luminous pale gold in the glass and a nose of hedgerow blossom — elderflower, acacia, honeysuckle — wrapped in bright citrus. The palate is fresh and invigorating, with lemon, green apple, and a whisper of brioche carried by fine bubbles to a long, mineral finish. Finished with a restrained 8 g/L dosage, it stays genuinely crisp rather than sweet.
