Hard Truth Peanut Butter Whiskey does exactly what the name promises — and does it better than most. Where a lot of novelty bottles are all sugar and no spirit, this one starts with Hard Truth’s own aged straight bourbon and layers in the flavour of deep-roasted peanuts, so there’s a genuine whiskey backbone beneath the nutty sweetness. Bottled at an approachable 35% ABV (70 proof), it pours smooth, creamy and dangerously moreish.

It’s light gold in the glass, with an aroma of roasted peanuts, corn and oak. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy, full of honey-roasted peanut and a whisper of oak, before a long, salty-sweet finish that tastes like a spoonful of peanut butter — sweet, but balanced by just enough salt to keep it interesting.
