Product Description
Château Montifaud Vieux Pineau Blanc is made from Colombard and Ugni Blanc. Colombard gives persistence and delicate fruit. Ugni Blanc adds finesse, elegance and slight acidity. Expect dried fruit, almond and honey, followed by rancio and nut notes and a lingering, warm finish.
Serve it chilled at 5°C as an aperitif or with foie gras, Comté, or an apricot and nut crumble. To make a Pineau Sour, combine 6 cl of white Pineau with 3 cl each of lemon juice and egg white. Shake, add ice and shake again. Strain and finish with lemon peel.
