Product Description
Bénédictine is a French herbal liqueur — a honey-sweet, golden spirit built from 27 botanicals, the kind of bottle that quietly elevates a back bar. First blended in Fécamp, Normandy by Alexandre Le Grand in 1863, it weaves angelica, hyssop, juniper, saffron and myrrh into something warm, spiced and impossible to pin to a single note.
The first sip is all honey and citrus; then the herbs arrive — resinous, gently peppery, with a smooth 40% finish that never turns harsh. Complex without being heavy, which is exactly why bartenders keep a bottle within reach.
Pour it neat or over ice to let the botanicals open up, or put it to work in the classics it was made for: the New Orleans Vieux Carré and the Singapore Sling both lean on Bénédictine for their backbone. It’s equally at home alongside dark chocolate or crème brûlée after dinner.
