Lobos Joven Tequila

Lobos Joven Tequila is built for drinkers who want more from a “silver” tequila than raw agave and heat. Produced in Jalisco from 100% Blue Weber agave, the spirit begins life as a carefully crafted Blanco, made from ripe agave harvested in the highlands and distilled to preserve its natural sweetness and herbal lift. 

Instead of stopping there, the Blanco is blended with a precise amount of Lobos 1707 Reposado, introducing subtle barrel tones and rounding out the mid-palate. The blend is then carbon-filtered to keep the liquid bright and clear while polishing the texture. 

From here, Lobos Joven takes a distinctive turn: the tequila rests in American white oak and is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks using a solera-inspired process. This PX finish layers in soft vanilla, gentle dried fruit sweetness, and a touch of grape and balsamic nuance without overpowering the core agave character. 

In the glass, you can expect fresh, grassy agave and light vegetal spice on the nose, backed by floral and herbal notes. The palate delivers a velvety mouthfeel with flavors of sweet agave, citrus, vanilla, and a hint of tobacco and earth, leading into a warm, peppery finish. Touches of PX sherry influence, grape, delicate sweetness, and soft oak, make it more layered than a typical Blanco while still feeling clean and modern. 

Lobos Joven Tequila is bottled at 40% ABV and produced without added color or flavoring, so what you taste comes directly from the agave and barrel work. Enjoy it neat, over a large ice cube, or as the base of upgraded classics, think a brighter, more complex Margarita, a refined Paloma, or a savory Bloody Maria where its herbal and PX-tinged notes stand out.
