Product Description
La Vieille Ferme Rouge is one of France’s great everyday reds – the bottle that practically defines “delicious and affordable.” It comes from Famille Perrin, the celebrated Rhône wine family, with fruit grown on the breezy slopes of Mont Ventoux, where the altitude keeps everything fresh and lively.
It’s a Grenache-led southern Rhône blend, filled out with Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan. The result is a deep cherry-red glass of ripe, spicy fruit: juicy blackberry, blackcurrant and plum laced with clove and a touch of black pepper, all medium-bodied and finishing clean and fresh – the kind of wine that keeps you reaching for the bottle.
Serve it slightly chilled to lift those aromatics. It’s endlessly food-friendly – grilled meats, hearty stews, pizza, or simply a board of cheese and charcuterie – and the generous 1.5L bottle makes it an easy choice for a crowd.
