Product Description
Jin Jiji India Dry Gin is designed to taste unmistakably Indian while still behaving like a true modern dry gin behind the bar. Distilled in small batches on copper pot stills from a wheat-based neutral grain spirit, it delivers a clean, structured canvas that lets its botanicals speak clearly in any classic or contemporary cocktail.
At the core of the recipe is wild juniper foraged in the foothills of the Himalayas, supported by Macedonian juniper for added depth. This dual-juniper approach gives Jin Jiji an authentic gin backbone, piney, bright, and crisp, while leaving plenty of room for the Indian botanicals that define its character.
Black tea (often referenced alongside Darjeeling in the range), tulsi (holy basil), and chamomile bring a gently aromatic, tea-like quality. You get subtle tannin from the tea, soft florals from chamomile, and a fresh herbal lift from tulsi, all integrated rather than showy. Cashew nut, a nod to India’s coastal cashew belt, contributes a round, almost creamy texture that helps give the gin its notably silky mouthfeel.
Supporting botanicals like coriander seed, angelica root, and orris root sit underneath, adding citrus brightness, earthy spice, and structure. On the nose you’ll find zesty citrus and fine spice; on the palate, citrusy juniper, notes reminiscent of lemon shortbread, delicate elderflower, and a dry black tea finish. The overall impression is balanced: not overly sweet, not aggressively bitter, but precise and purposeful.
At 43% ABV, Jin Jiji is built for versatility. It drops seamlessly into a Gin & Tonic, where the tea and tulsi add intrigue without overpowering the tonic. In a Martini, the silky texture and subtle florals create a refined, modern twist. It also works beautifully in sours, long highballs, or as a distinctive Indian gin in a Negroni or White Negroni riff. For customers looking for a gin that feels familiar in structure but genuinely different in flavor, Jin Jiji India Dry Gin offers a clear point of difference and a compelling story of Indian botanicals in a globally loved spirit.
