Element R/1.0 Fusion Series Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey

Element Fusion Series R/1.0 is a small batch blended Irish whiskey representing the debut release from New Era Spirits. This expression blends different vintages, barrel types, and grain sources to achieve its unique flavor profile. 

Composition and Maturation

• Element Fusion R/1.0 combines single malt and single grain Irish whiskeys.
• The blend consists of 85% grain whiskey and 15% malt whiskey.
• It’s matured in a combination of casks, including:
• Ex-Bourbon casks (both first and second fill)
• Virgin American Oak
• Oloroso Sherry casks
• Seasoned Stout casks 

Tasting notes

• Nose: Expect notes of vanilla, tropical fruit, and shortbread. Reviews also mention aromas of baked goods, citrus (lime, mandarin, lemon), white grape, and honey.
• Palate: Creamy caramel, chocolate, and orange peel are prominent. Additionally, notes of butterscotch, vanilla fudge, apricot fuzz, banana custard, and a coffee note akin to a latte have been identified. You may also find oak spice.
• Finish: Described as lingering and gentle, with light creaminess and subtle maltiness. A distinct coffee-like bitterness with vanilla whipped cream and hints of Terry’s Chocolate Orange has also been noted
